  • Do you modify shipping containers?
Absolutely, we do. For a variety of uses, we have years of experience converting cargo containers. For further information on some of the options, visit our "Applications" page.
  • Do we buy back containers ?
Most of the time, yeah. The return condition will always affect the buyback price.
  • What are shipping containers made of?
Usually composed of steel, shipping containers can also have an aluminum outside and a wooden interior.
  • Are shipping containers weather tight?
Absolutely, they are made to keep out the elements because they are intended to transport products across the globe. Heavy quality rubber seals are installed on the doors to make sure they are entirely water and wind tight.
  • How much do shipping containers weigh?
Depending on size, a container's average gross weight varies, although it typically ranges between the following empty weights: 20 feet, 2.5 tonnes; 30 feet, 3 tonnes; and 40 feet, 4 tonnes.
  • What are shipping containers ?
Great question. Shipping containers, or boxes as they are frequently called, are substantial steel boxes used to transport goods across modes of transportation (land, rail, and sea). They are solidly built, extremely strong, and have an exceptional lifespan because they are manufactured to ISO (International criteria Organization) criteria. They are incredibly secure, weather-tight, and extremely adaptable pieces of equipment that can be transformed into offices, cabins, mess rooms, control rooms, changing rooms, and the list goes on. They are perfect for both short- and long-term storage. The containers are typically 10 feet, 20 feet, 30 feet, 40 feet, and 45 feet long and 8 feet wide by 8 feet 6 inches high. Standard boxes can be altered into lengths of 6 feet, 8 feet, 12 feet, and any other length in between to provide a variety of sizes.
  • Container Security
The containers are made of high tensile steel, making them incredibly sturdy and secure. We advise using a lockbox and a high security padlock to prevent unauthorized access because security can be undermined by the weakest link. For further security and peace of mind, extra security elements like wireless or portable alarms can be implemented.
  • How do I get my container delivered?
Any size box can be transported by us, and it will often be done so on a hiab vehicle (a vehicle with a crane mounted to it), which will hoist the container to the ground. To determine whether a car can be accessed, the site may need to be evaluated. On request, delivery costs will be provided.
  • Delivery
Most deliveries and pickups of new and used containers are equipped with cranes. The shipping container can be parked on the side of the lorries up to 18 feet away. The trucks are unable to raise the containers over residences. The purchaser is responsible for making sure the HGV has appropriate access to the site. All deliveries are prearranged, and you will receive a date, time, and notification of any changes to the schedule. Only once full payment has been received can delivery arrangements be made. We are willing to offer advice and direction if you have concerns about delivery to guarantee the container can be fitted with the least amount of inconvenience.

  • Are shipping Containers affected by condensation ?
Condensation will eventually occur on any metal surface that is subjected to temperature changes, but there are ways to prevent this. Evidence suggests that the design of contemporary containers helps avoid condensation, and there is little question that the caliber of the paint used nowadays also contributes to this. When a container is placed on cold, damp ground, such as soil, condensation is more likely to happen; the earth's cold enters the container and reduces the air temperature within, resulting in condensation. By making sure that the things are placed in the container on a dry day, you can reduce the amount of air in the container and hence the likelihood of condensation. On a dry day, a container can also be vented to let air flow through.
  • Do shipping containers require maintenance?
Shipping containers require little upkeep. As long as they are painted with high-quality paint, shipping containers used for static storage hardly ever need any maintenance. The steel construction is also unlikely to corrode. Door seals will degrade with time, but again, these are readily replaced and should last for around 10 years. Door hinges and locking bars may need to be lubricated with oil to keep them freely moving.
  • Container Maintenance
Our containers are incredibly strong and long-lasting since they are made to endure the challenging sea environments. High tensile steel was used to build the containers, and they may be painted using specialized paints to extend their lifespan. Air vents are present in every shipping container to prevent condensation. Additional moisture traps can be supplied if your consumption calls for them. These traps need to be replaced every three months or so.
